WAISAK EXPERIENCE

  • Join thousands of saffron-robed monks walk 3km to the three temples starting at Mendut, on to Pawon, then Borobudur.
  • Light the candles as the full moon rises guided by our historian.
  • A sunrise visit to Borobudur Temple to learn all the Budhism symbols.
  • Holy cleansing to get rid of badluck by certified monks.

A TOUCH OF JAVANESE KINGDOM

First access to the most famous aristocratic kingdoms in Indonesia where native elements of spirit and ancestry combined with Hindu-Budhist influences merge into these flourishing and enriched cultures.

  • Visit the Sultan’s (Java’s King) Palace in Yogyakarta. Welcomed by a member of the Sultan’s family, you will witness parts of the palace off limits to the public. Hear stories by the royal historian guide.
  • Learn to master a Javanese traditional dance or a  traditional music instruments such as the gamelan.

INDONESIAN CULINARY EXPERIENCE

  • Experience a morning Java coffee or tea break with royalty and “Jajanan Pasar” (local snacks).
  • Picnic breakfast overlooking where the Elo (female) River meets the Progo (male) River, a holy river sanctuary for the King of Java.
