Krakatoa & Ujung Kulon

4 Days 3 Nights

Day 1 | Welcome On Board

Embark at Marina Lippo Carita (Anyer) at 11.00am and check-in will follow the Covid-19 protocol procedures. Enjoy the welcome drink and a briefing about the ship and general program by the cruise director.

First sail to head towards Krakatau, which takes approximately 2 – 3 hours. During the journey, the crew wil prepare to set up their own dive equipment for check dive and sunset dive after lunch.

Upon arrival by Krakatau islands located in west of Java, in the Sunda strait, for divers will run a check dive. The Krakatau Islands, comprises 4 islands: Sibuku, Sebesi, Sanghyang, and Lagundi Island. The area offers wreck diving, go deep exploring the wall, and admiring the plethora of coral reefs formed by past violent volcanic eruptions to hard coral coastal reefs. Large pelagic are seen at some strong current dive sites.

Day 2 | The Krakatau – Peucang Island (Ujung Kulon)

After breakfast at 8:00 am we will do trekking in Anak Krakatau Island. Krakatau is a famous, deserted, active volcano island, to sea is left of the biggest explosion ever recorded in history mankind, 1883. Krakatau island located in west of Java, in the Sunda strait. You will enjoy the fantastic view from the top of Krakatau.

At 11:00 am the boat will continue to cruise to Peucang Island.

For non-diverers, take an afternoon walk by our local guide or spend time for beach time at Peucang Island. Peucang Island is a small beautiful island, pleasant tropical island with a white sandy beach and blue coastal water. We can find various species of wild animals in the forest such as monkey, monitor lizard, deer, and wild boars.

For divers, the dive sites have a several volcanic underwater topographies. Whilst there is not much underwater coral, there are plenty of fish life: turtles, stingray, and barracuda.

Overnight in Peucang Island.

Day 3 | Ujung Kulon National Park

Morning dive sites:

  • Karang Copong
  • Tanjung Layar
  • Karang Jajar

A visit to Ujung Kulon is not complete without taking a step into National Park to see the rhino on its natural habitat. There are only approximately 60 Javan Rhino that still exist today.

Back to the boat for lunch and follow with either a second dive site (either one below) or snorkeling at Citerjun coral reef.

Afternoon dive sites:

  • Cibom
  • Karang Careuh
  • Sangiang Sirah

In late afternoon, let us continue a visit to Cidaon grassing famous in spotting for wild bull, wild pig, peafowl, leopard, back on sunset time.

Day 4 | Sangiang Island – Anyer

Take your last two morning dives around Sangiang Island. The area is converted into the Nature Marine Park which covering an area of 1,420 hectares and consists of a 720 hectare marine park. Sangiang has a beautiful marine life, amazing underwater views and the waves are relatively calm so often used as a diving and snorkeling paradise. The nickname of “Seven Wonders of Banten” now attached to this island.

Enjoy lunch on board while cruising to Carita for your disembarkation.
