Day 1 - 3

Magelang | 3 Nights

Today we depart for Magelang with quick detour of Semarang for some sightseeing to see Central Java. From there we continue our journey to Magelang, located few minutes away from the Magical Borobudur Temple. Overnight in Magelang.

  • Jakarta – Semarang: 440 km (5 hour 30 minutes) via highway
  • Semarang – Magelang: 100 km (2 hour 30 minutes) via highway

VW Cabrio Tour

Sit back and relax on a Classic Volkswagen Safari Car as you ride through the surrounding area of Borobudur and local villages. Discover more about life in the countryside and experience the traditional process of creating batik at batik home industry, before witnessing the local honey harvest in action.

A Ride in an Andong

Is suggested for those of a less energic disposition. These horses and their buggies are used every day by country folk throughout the province, their leisurely pace allowing you to quietly blend into rural life.

Borobudur Sunrise with Archeologist

Wake up early in the morning head to the Borobudur Temple to witness the magical sunrise. Feel the mystical atmosphere when the first rays of the day breach the horizon between the stupas and the morning mist.

An archeologist will follow and guide you trough the temple explaining the architecture of the temple and how it is connected with Buddhism values.

Family Jamu Making Lesson

Roll up your sleeves to craft your very own jamu, a traditional herbal medicine made from natural ingredients, such as roots, leaves, barks, and fruits. With this in-depth workshop, you will learn the benefits of each ingredient and secrete tips on the best blends. 

Day 4 - 5

Malang | 2 Nights

Start your second leg of long drive to Solo, known for the center of art and culture of Central Javanese. Solo is also a much less touristy than her ‘twin sister’ city, Yogyakarta.

After a quick detour, continuing your drive to Malang. Malang is the second-biggest city in East Java that has a lot of charms. Famously known for its apple harvest, this district offers a picturesque view and a wondrous atmosphere around the city. Overnight in Malang

  • Magelang – Solo: 100 km (2 hour 30 minute) via highway
  • Solo – Malang: 330 km (4 hour 30 minute) via highway

Countryside & Picnic by the Apple Orchard

Get ready to be picked up in the morning and head to Omah Kayu in Gunung Banyak. Omah Kayu, literally means wooden house, features several tree houses from which you can see a panoramic view of Batu City. 

After that, visit other attractions in Batu, such as Coban Talun Waterfall and an apple picking orchard. As you probably know that Malang and batu cityof apple, because indeed in Indonesia at that time the apple could only be found in the region around Malang. We will setup the picnic in the middle of orchard for you and your family

Malang By Becak

Awarded as the loveliest town in South East Asia during the colonial times, Malang has its own charm attracting you to drift along in an air of nostalgia where old Dutch planters and civil servants used to retire to a life of ease and luxury. 

Highlight of this unique guided tour are the traditional bird and flower market, the old Dutch historical neighborhood of Oro Oro Dowo with the oldest market in Malang, its most famous boulevard, Jalan Ijen and Malang’s china town where an old and largest Chinese temple “Klenteng Eng An Kiong” lies gracefully.

This tour will last around 3 hours, letting the charms of this old town allure you into a relaxed ride. The tour includes the ride in becak, complimentary mineral water, seasonal fruit platter, soft drinks and a small snack at Und Corner café (Jalan Ijen) and an English speaking enthusiastic guide.

Temples and City Sightseeing

Malang’s nostalgic atmosphere results from the fact that Dutch planters and civil servants used to retire here until the early 1900s. Many old houses and buildings from ‘Tempo Doeloe’ (Dutch Colonial times) are still available and well maintain, also some small antiques shops are worth to visit.

The tour would include a visit to Wonosari Tea Plantation also.This vast and beautiful plantation is situated on the slope of Mount Arjuna, about 30 km from Malang, with a view of Mt. Arjuna. The visitors may watch the tea leaf picking, the process of tea-making, as well as other traditional daily activities of this tea plantation.

Day 6 - 7

Banyuwangi | 2 Nights

This morning continuing your journey to the tip of eastern Java, Banyuwangi with lunch stop at Paiton.

And then continuing the journey to Banyuwangi, the tip of eastern Java Island. Overnight in Banyuwangi

Savanna Safari with Naturalist & Barefoot Dining Experience

You don’t need to travel to Africa to experience the thrill of a safari. Head instead to Baluran National Park whose wide-open savanna grasslands are home to a myriad of wildlife roaming free. 

Covering 250 sq km, the park is well worth visiting to catch sight of native creatures such as the endangered Javanese water buffalo and the Javan Rusa Deer as well as a variety of spectacular birds, including hornbills and peacocks. It is sure to be a day of precious memories. Your local naturalist will take you on a deep insight like no other before.

amily Seaside Escapade

Tabuhan Island, a paradise located between Java and Bali, surrounded by mountainous scenery. Reached by a 20-minute boat ride from Bangsring Beach, it is not only a top spot for diving, snorkeling, and also fishing, but also a heaven for windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts in Indonesia.

Or you can opt out for the magnificent Menjangan Island offers white sand beaches with sublime views over Bali and the volcanoes of Java. It is also well known for its pristine underwater world, making it a dream diving and snorkeling destination. Take your kids to the beach and learn how to build a sandcastle!


Batik Making Class & Tortoise Laying Egg Procession

Enjoy a fascinating introduction to making Batik “Gajah Oling“ in a private class with a local artist, and bring your own creation home as a precious memory of this fun and unforgettable experience.

Afterwards visit Sukamade in Meru Betiri National Park by jeep through plantations, jungle and rivers to this very remote location for the rare opportunity to see these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. Witness turtles arriving on the beach to lay their eggs. You may also be able to release some of the hatched turtles into the ocean.

Day 8 - 9

Bromo | 2 Nights

From here we are driving back to east. You may also opt in for the previous lunch are in Paiton (Rumah Makan Handayani) as that is the most proper restaurant in the area and located in the right proximity from Banyuwangi for lunch time.

After lunch, we are going to visit Mount Bromo area. Mt. Bromo, stands tall at 2,329 meter asl, is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. Overnight in Bromo

  • Banyuwangi – Paiton: 150 km (3 hour 30 minutes)
  • Paiton – Bromo: 132 km (3 hour)
  • Also passing the Jalur Pantura for a no highway route. Distances & driving duration depends on the traffic, toilet or lunch break etc.

Day 10 - 11

Semarang | 1 Night

This morning start your engine to drive from Malang to Semarang for a quick detour, city to visit before heading back to Jakarta

  • Bromo – Semarang: 430 km (6 hour) via highway
  • Duration is depending on the traffic, road situation, toilet / lunch break


The Grandeur of Semarang with “Bemo”

Semarang is the biggest city in Central Java. On this sightseeing we will see some of the most famous landmark in Semarang such as Grand Mosque, Old Town, Chinatown, Lawang Sewu, Simpang Lima and many more.

This is not your ordinary city sightseeing. Experience a vanished old vehicle that used to be the king of transportation around Java island, Bemo which is a three-wheeled that has been around Java for half a century.


Unbeaten Path of Central Java

First we visit Gedong Songo Temple, which is a heritage of the Sanjaya Dynasty in the 8th Century. Here you can try a horseback riding accompanied by the locals who will give you a history of the place and help to snap your best moments.

After that, sip a morning coffee at the Umbul Sido Mukti overlooking cascading tea plantation terrace located in 1,200 meter above sea level. And then coming down from here, we take you to a place that resembles Grand Canyon in Arizona, Brown Canyon.


The drive today will bring you back to Jakarta as your journey concludes here. You may opt out on a short detour around Cirebon and for lunch.

After that continuing your drive back to Jakarta. End of Journey.
