Day 1 - 3
Ubud | 2 Nights
Inspired by the early European settlers from the 1800’s, celebrated architect Bill Bensley conceptualized Capella Ubud, Bali as a tribute to their spirit of adventure. Set within a dramatic terraced landscape and nestled between lush rainforest, rice paddy fields, and the sacred Wos River, in an authentic Balinese artist village called Keliki, this refined tented camp is a hidden sanctuary from afar that truly captures the imagination of those who aspire a unique experience, that allows them to enjoy the essence of Ubud’s untouched natural surroundings in personalized and stylish comfort. The camp is adorned with handpicked valuable antique artifacts, books, paintings, drawings, and furniture, some of which are from the owner’s treasured private collection, and pays homage to the local craftmanship and rich cultural heritage of Indonesia.
Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport, you will be transferred to Capella Ubud by 90 minute-drive.
During your stay at Capella Ubud, you can enjoy the following activities:
A soul reborn
In the lush green garden of Capella Ubud, you will find the Beji, an ancient spring of rejuvenating holy water just footsteps from mystical Wos River. Experience a spiritual cleansing ritual called “Melukat” which aims to achieve self-purification for both body and soul.
Dressed in traditional Balinese attire, you will be guided through chanting and offerings by a local priest. While chanting, the priest will splash three times with holy water as a blessing. At the end of the ritual you will be given a lucky charm bracelet “Tridatu” as a symbol of the three deities – Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer.
Wellness and Fitness
Work out in style at the camp’s jungle-based tented gymnasium The Armory which features a state of the art line-up of workout equipment, free weights, TRX strength stations and the barre for barre-based classes. The Cistern, the 120 sqm outdoor saltwater rainforest pool, located at camp central, lends itself perfectly for laps or an early morning aqua yoga session, whilst the camp rangers offer a series of low and high impact guided adventure wellness activities.
End of journey.
